My 60th Birthday weekend was a great success, marred only by the events you can read about below.

To all those that supported me “I thank you” it was much appreciated, to those that didn’t “well enough said”. I hope the Media Fireball that will inevitably follow, won’t be too embarrassing to the Town Council.
I still think that Cathy Bakewell had no business sticking her constituency nose into Town Group business, but I know her view on that, so, we must agree to differ.
The whole thing was very well orchestrated with me in Cornwall unable to conduct any kind of defence until I returned to duty, on Wednesday, by then most of the votes were in and it was too late. That’s what I call a FAIR and Democratic Process, and it demonstrates just how Yeovil Lib-Dem Constituency democracy works.
